A wonderful greeting by friendly hosts Shona and Billy. They were extremely helpful with with my car problems when we arrived. We had a quiet, clean, comfortable room with a little dressing area and spacious bathroom with lots of little finishing touches. A mini fridge with fresh milk was a nice touch with a range of tea and coffee. We had a lovely, freshly cooked breakfast each morning with a variety of choice combinations. Abingdon House is in a good location for trains and buses and close enough to walk into Torquay for beaches and dinner. We would definitely stay again and highly recommend to friends visiting the area.

We recently stayed here for 4 nights, and could not wish for better accommodation or hosts. Our room was on the ground floor which was brilliant as I have arthritis and struggle with stairs. The room was lovely and cosy, and the bed was so comfortable. Our hosts Billy and Shona were amazing, we received a cup of tea on arrival, nothing was too much trouble for them, they are such a lovely couple. There is a little seating area at the front of the property which was ideal to sit and relax after a busy day. The breakfasts were lovely and freshly cooked, my husband really enjoyed his full English. We would highly recommend Abingdon House, and will definitely be returning.

This property is owned by Billy and Shona who were very friendly and welcoming hosts. Our room was very clean with a nice powerful shower in a roomy bathroom. The WiFi was good and we had a streaming TV so we could watch Netflix etc. Breakfast was very nice, we selected what we wanted the previous day and it was freshly cooked by Billy the following morning. The property is located on a main road about 15 mins walk from the beach and 10 mins from Torre Abbey. Free car parking is also available. If we are in the Torquay area again we would definitely come back here.

The welcome from our host, Shona, she is very friendly, warm and approachable. Shona showed us to our room, explained room specifics etc. Breakfast, cooked by Billy, was fantastic. Felt awful as I couldn't eat all plated up for me, needless to say my partner ate everything! Both Billy and Shona were friendly and helpful, and knowledgeable about the area too.

We loved everything, The Hosts were exceptional, the room extremely comfortable,shower very powerful, wi fi excellent, information in room (restaurants etc) even had an honesty room if you required a drink which we never used,and finally an excellent breakfast which you could choose just about everything 😀 I would definitely recommend abingdon house and if I go back to torquay I wouldn't think of looking anywhere else. Thank-you for everything.

The host at the property could not have been more welcoming and accommodating. We travelled and stayed there during the recent heatwave and the lady had placed some fans in the room to help try and keep us cool. We requested to have breakfast early and outside of the normal breakfast hours and this was no problem at all. The breakfast was amazing. The bed was comfy, the hotel was really clean! Would definitely recommend and stay there again.

Shona and Billie were the perfect hosts who were keen to satisfy any requirements we had. The breakfasts were excellent and the en-suite room had all the usual facilities including extra's such as mini fridge and even needle and thread! The location was great being only a 10 minute walk to Torre Abbey Sands Beach where their is an array of restaurants/bars.

Everything! From the moment we arrived until the time we departed, our hosts, Shona and Billie could not have been more attentive to our needs. The breakfasts were exceptional for the quality and choice. My gluten free requirements were catered for completely- including biscuits in our room. Nothing was too much trouble. Our room was spotlessly clean and the bed was very comfortable. Tea, coffee and biscuits were regularly replenished. We would unreservedly recommend Abingdon House!

The hosts were very friendly and had a good knowledge of the area. The food was fresh, good quality, very well presented and plenty of it. The room was well appointed, with everything you could need. The location was ideal for traveling around.
